The Coachella Valley Quilt Guild is committed to supporting the art of quilting and the community around us.  Through charitable donations and volunteer outreach CVQG members contribute thousands of hours of creativity and service to our valley each year.  

 

Our focus is on supporting charities and agencies that provide for the needs of foster children, veterans, hospice patients, abused mothers and children and low income and housebound patients of the local clinics.  All of these we support through donations of handmade quilts, receiving blankets, adult bibs, story time pillows, fidget quilts and numerous other items made by the caring hands of our members. 

 

These donations are funded in part by the generosity of our members and by our annual Christmas boutique and auction, a biennial quilt show and our always fun “Sew What” table (stash builder) events scheduled throughout the year. 

 

We welcome anyone who wants to grow and gain knowledge of quilting to join us in our quilting journey.

• Suggested sizes for donation quilts​

    -  lap size (most requested) in the 40x60 inches range for adults and older children

    -  crib size for younger children in the 30x46 to 36x52 inches range

    -  occasional need for twin size -- 64x86 inches

    -  no quilt will be turned down, no matter the size

• Quilts should be washed before being turned into Philanthropy

• Labels will be attached by Philanthropy
